John Darko, Member of Parliament for Suame and legal counsel to the Minority Caucus in Ghana, has stated he has been informed he is connected to an Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) investigation. The investigation concerns Manhyia South MP Nana Agyei Baffour Awuah. Darko revealed this information while speaking at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s national executive elections on October 3. He clarified that he hasn’t received a formal invitation from EOCO but will cooperate fully if asked to answer questions. Darko refrained from providing specific details, citing the lack of official contact from the agency. He mentioned ongoing discussions about the matter via phone, but expressed uncertainty about the extent of his involvement.
