A new Green Project Preparation Facility (PPF) has been launched in Ghana with the aim of attracting investment in climate-aligned infrastructure projects. The initiative is a collaboration between FSD Africa, the British High Commission, and the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF). The PPF will focus on developing projects to a stage where they are attractive to investors, addressing a key barrier to infrastructure development in the country. This addresses Ghana’s infrastructure financing gap by providing the necessary groundwork for viable projects. By preparing these projects, the facility intends to unlock significant investment and contribute to Ghana’s climate goals. The PPF represents a concerted effort to mobilize resources for sustainable infrastructure development within Ghana.
