Despite the current truce, Israel maintains strict control over entry and exit points to Gaza. Movement in and out of the region remains heavily restricted, impacting the daily lives of residents. Very few individuals are permitted to leave Gaza, even with the ceasefire in effect, unless for essential purposes. This situation raises questions about the ability of Gazans to participate in events like the World Cup, or experience even limited normalcy. The ongoing restrictions hinder freedom of movement and contribute to the challenging humanitarian conditions within Gaza. The limited access impacts not only travel for leisure but also essential needs and opportunities. This control continues to be a significant factor in the post-conflict environment.
