Finland is experiencing a rise in energy costs, with households facing electricity price increases of 14 to 25 percent compared to last year. Data from Statistics Finland reveals that filling up a car is now considerably more expensive than during the same period in the previous year. In March, gasoline prices for consumers rose by 8 percent year-on-year. Diesel saw a more substantial increase, climbing 16 percent, while light heating oil jumped by a significant 42 percent. Even renewable diesel experienced a price hike, increasing by 6 percent, indicating a broad-based trend of rising fuel expenses for Finnish consumers.
