The fifth edition of Show Biz 101, a professional event for the music industry, took place in Lagos, Nigeria from June 23rd to 30th, 2026. The event brought together artists and professionals from across the African continent. It was organized as part of the Africa Creative Sounds – Amplify Her project, an initiative supported by the Institut français’ Création Africa program. Show Biz 101 aimed to connect and amplify the voices of women in the African music industry. The event facilitated networking and collaboration among participants from various sub-regions of Africa. The Institut français’ involvement highlights a commitment to supporting the growth and visibility of female talent within the African music sector. This initiative seeks to foster a more inclusive and dynamic music landscape across the continent.
