A man suspected of a large-scale land fraud totaling nearly 22 million CFA francs was arrested in Tivaouane Peul, Senegal, after attempting to evade police by disguising himself as a woman. S. Sow had been wanted by Guédiawaye police for several weeks in connection with the fraudulent sale of land parcels, causing significant financial harm to multiple victims. Police, initially told he was absent, discovered a locked room during a search of his home. Inside, they found Sow dressed as a woman, attempting to conceal his identity. Despite the elaborate disguise, officers apprehended him and he was taken into custody. Sow has since been charged with land fraud and will face prosecution in court.
