Météo-France has issued an orange vigilance alert for 53 departments this Friday. The weather agency warns that the current heatwave episode will be extensive, durable, and intense. Temperatures are expected to peak at 38°C on the Côte d’Azur. In Paris, highs are forecasted to reach between 36°C and 37°C. While the north of the country may see a slight decrease in temperature on Saturday, the heat is expected to intensify again by Sunday. Authorities are monitoring the situation as more than half of the French population is affected by the alert.
