Renze Klamer, the former host of the now-cancelled RTL Tonight talk show, has publicly addressed his departure for the first time. Klamer left the program last November, prior to its cancellation due to low viewership after a single season. Ironically, he is set to return to the network with a new talk show this fall, while his former co-hosts – Beau van Erven Dorens, Humberto Tan, and Leonie ter Braak – have been dropped. In a candid interview with Pim Sedee’s Studio Sedee podcast, Klamer detailed the challenges he faced and the reasons behind his decision to leave, stating he felt constrained and unable to be authentic. He also responded to critical remarks made by Tan and Van Erven Dorens following his exit. Klamer intends this interview to be a one-time explanation before focusing on his future television endeavors, including addressing comments made by Johan Derksen.
