Reports of an international arrest warrant issued for former minister Moussa Bocar Thiam have been vehemently denied by Thiam himself. Currently residing in Dubai, Thiam dismissed the claims as “false information,” expressing surprise at the reports circulating online. He states he has received no official summons or notification from the High Court of Justice regarding any judicial proceedings. Thiam confirms he informed the High Court’s investigating commission of his legal representation and provided his contact details in both Dubai and Senegal on March 10th, following his accusation by the National Assembly on February 27th. He questions the procedural correctness of an international warrant without prior notification, emphasizing the importance of summons in judicial matters, particularly before the High Court of Justice. Thiam maintains he has not been contacted by any judicial services or his legal counsel regarding the alleged warrant.
