Two former directors of the Central Psychiatric Forensic Institute in Biên Hòa, along with forty others, have been brought to court facing accusations of corruption. The charges center around allegations that they accepted money to manipulate psychiatric evaluations and medical records. This involved intentionally distorting conclusions within psychiatric assessments and patient files. Numerous doctors and forensic experts are implicated in the scheme. The case suggests a systemic issue of bribery and abuse of power within the Biên Hòa facility. Authorities launched the investigation following reports of irregularities in the evaluation process. Legal proceedings are now underway to determine the extent of the wrongdoing and hold those responsible accountable.
