Former employees of major tech firms like Booking.com, Adyen, Uber, and Mollie in the Netherlands have founded a significant number of new companies. A recent study reveals that these ex-employees launched 270 startups and scale-ups over the past several years. Collectively, these ventures have secured over 1.9 billion US dollars in investment. The research was conducted by the data platform Dealroom, in collaboration with Techleap, a startup organization, and tech company Uber. This demonstrates a strong ecosystem of innovation originating from within established tech companies in the Netherlands. The findings highlight the considerable economic impact extending beyond direct employment created by these large corporations. The Netherlands is clearly fostering a thriving environment for tech entrepreneurship.
