Forest City is showcasing positive early results from the Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone (JS-SEZ) initiative. Since the memorandum of understanding, Singaporean companies have pledged over S$5.5 billion in investment within Johor. The Investment, Trade and Industry Ministry (MITI) and the Johor government’s Investment Facilitation Centre (IMFC-J) reported approximately 1,000 investment inquiries totaling RM73 billion as of March 2026. This significant influx points to the JS-SEZ's attractiveness for foreign direct investment. The development highlights the growing economic ties between Malaysia and Singapore. Forest City’s role in attracting capital is anticipated to further boost Johor’s economic landscape and regional competitiveness. These investments are expected to create numerous job opportunities and spur further development within the region.
