Six men – five from China and one from Taiwan – were fined RM9,000 each in a Malaysian court today after admitting to involvement in an online love scam. The scammers targeted individuals from their home countries, defrauding them through romantic relationships initiated online. They pleaded guilty to the charges brought against them by the magistrates court in Bukit Mertajam. The fines total RM54,000.
