Authorities in the United Arab Emirates allege that a First Officer employed by Flydubai planned a terror attack intended to crash a flight en route to Israel. The planned attack involved hijacking a Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv on September 30th. The alleged plan was to crash the aircraft into a terminal at Ben Gurion Airport, mirroring the September 11th attacks of 2001. Investigators state the suspect previously surveyed the flight route on two separate flights. The investigation is ongoing to determine if the suspect acted alone or had accomplices. The suspect is Omani national.
