Prosecutors in the United Arab Emirates have revealed that the co-pilot of a flydubai flight to Israel planned a “terrorist act” and attacked the captain with an emergency axe in the cockpit. A passenger recounted the struggle, stating that three individuals tackled the co-pilot and physically restrained him. The captain’s quick response, alongside the intervention of those on board, allowed for the safe landing of the aircraft. Authorities are investigating the incident as a deliberate attempt to compromise the flight. The flight was travelling to Israel when the assault occurred.
