Following the death of Rabbi Avi Goldberg in combat in Lebanon nearly two years ago, the musical gatherings he and his wife, Rachel Goldberg, hosted ceased. The Goldbergs were both musicians and known for organizing evenings of song. Last night, Rachel Goldberg and her children revived the tradition, holding the first such evening since Rabbi Goldberg’s passing. The event served as a poignant memorial and a demonstration of family strength. It marked a return to normalcy and a continuation of a beloved practice. The gathering offered a space for remembrance and shared musical experience for those in attendance. A video of the event is available for viewing.
