Over 54,000 Bangladeshi pilgrims have returned home from Saudi Arabia following the Hajj pilgrimage, arriving on 127 flights. The returnees comprise 4,313 who traveled under government arrangements and 50,010 through private operators. Tragically, fifty Bangladeshi pilgrims have died in Saudi Arabia during Hajj this year. The deceased include 33 men and 17 women. Of those who passed away, 35 died in Mecca, 14 in Medina, and one in Jeddah. Authorities are coordinating with Saudi officials to manage the repatriation process for the deceased and assist returning pilgrims.
