Far-right millionaire lawyer Abelardo de la Espriella has won the presidential runoff election in Colombia. De la Espriella, a self-described "outsider" with ties to Donald Trump, defeated leftwing senator Iván Cepeda in a razor-tight contest. Preliminary results show De la Espriella securing 12.96 million votes, representing 49.66% of the total. Senator Cepeda followed closely with 12.7 million votes, or 48.7%. The margin of victory was approximately 250,830 votes. Additionally, 1.6% of the ballots cast were blank. Following the results, Cepeda has alleged irregularities in the vote counting process.
