A dispute over alleged extortion in Banglamotor, Dhaka, escalated into violence on Thursday night, resulting in a man being injured. Sohan, 45, was reportedly struck in the head by Ferdous Ahmed Simon, a former organizer and expelled leader of the youth wing of Hatirjhil Police Station, during an argument linked to extortion demands. The incident occurred at approximately 8:10 PM near a pump on the north side of the Banglamotor intersection within the Hatirjhil Police Station jurisdiction. Following the assault, reports indicate that shots were fired into the air. Authorities are investigating the incident and the allegations against Simon. The event has created tension in the Banglamotor area of Dhaka.
