A drone containing explosives and a detonator was discovered at Leipzig Airport in Germany, prompting a temporary suspension of all flights. The drone was reportedly spotted near a Ukrainian cargo plane the previous evening, raising concerns about potential interference with aid deliveries. Authorities have removed the detonator and are securing the explosive device – reportedly made from fertilizer and gasoline – for investigation. A DHL cargo plane was forced to abort its landing and subsequently collided with an unidentified projectile approximately 6 kilometers from the airport, sustaining minor damage. German authorities are investigating whether this projectile was also a drone, and are not ruling out a possible act of sabotage, potentially linked to Russia. Airport operations have since resumed, but security remains heightened.
