Search operations for the remains of Polish victims in the former village of Huta Pieniacka have concluded. Father Tomasz Trzaska from the IPN's Search and Identification Office announced that exhumations are expected to begin no earlier than next year. Huta Pieniacka serves as a significant symbol of Polish martyrdom in present-day Ukraine. During the massacre, approximately 850 people were killed. The entire village was subsequently razed to the ground. These efforts aim to recover and identify the victims of the atrocity.
