Teachers in Senegal who proctored school exams are expected to receive their allowances soon, according to Minister of Public Function, Labour and Public Service Reform, Mamadou Lamine Dianté. The minister stated that procedures are underway to expedite the payment of these funds, acknowledging delays have been noted in the education sector. He highlighted coordination between the Ministry of National Education and the Ministry of Finance as crucial to resolving the issue. Dianté assured that all teachers involved in the exams will be included in the payments. Payment is anticipated to be completed by the end of October, a deadline closely watched by affected teachers. The government must now fulfill these commitments to ensure timely compensation for the educators.
