A court in Dhaka has ordered the arrest of former MP Afzal Hossain in connection with a devastating fire at Bangabazar market, which caused an estimated $50 million (500 crore taka) in damages. The order came following an application by the investigation officer on Monday, July 6th. Lawyer Muhammad Shamsuddoha सुमन confirmed the arrest warrant.
