The European Commission, led by Vice President Roxana Mînzatu, has unveiled a comprehensive European AI Literacy Framework. This initiative provides a standardized guide for integrating artificial intelligence education into primary, secondary, and high school curricula across the European Union. Developed in collaboration with the OECD and supported by CodeAI, the framework aims to equip students with essential AI knowledge and skills. The goal is to foster a better understanding of AI’s capabilities and implications among young Europeans. This represents the first unified approach to AI education within the EU, ensuring consistent learning opportunities. The framework will help schools prepare students for a future increasingly shaped by artificial intelligence technologies. It is expected to be implemented across EU member states in the coming months.
