Toronto is currently hosting KESKfEST, a four-day festival celebrating Estonian culture with performances and exhibitions. The festival coincides with the nearing completion of the C$56 million Keskus International Estonian Centre. Hundreds of Estonian artists, singers, dancers, and designers are participating, transforming the Annex neighbourhood into a hub for Estonian arts. Venues along Bloor Street Culture Corridor are hosting music, dance, fashion, film, theatre and public debates. A festival tent erected near the construction site on Madison Avenue serves as a central gathering space. KESKfEST marks a significant moment for the Estonian diaspora in Canada and anticipates the opening of the new cultural complex.
