The “Under Scrutiny” coalition has documented 277 election irregularities observed during the pre-election period. Misuse of public resources constitutes the most frequent infraction, with 155 reported cases, followed by premature campaigning at 86 cases. The report also highlights concerns regarding the formation of election committees and illegal paid advertising. Critically, nine cases involve the disturbing abuse of children for political purposes, raising ethical and legal questions. The coalition warns these abuses are not being consistently sanctioned. This report emphasizes the need for increased oversight and stricter enforcement of electoral regulations to ensure a fair and ethical election process, particularly regarding the protection of vulnerable populations like children. The findings were published by Sarajevo Times.
