The East, Central and Southern Africa Health Community (ECSA-HC) is calling on African nations to prioritize investment in healthcare. Specifically, the organization emphasizes the need for increased funding in primary healthcare, health workers, and relevant technologies. ECSA-HC Director General Dr. Ntuli Kapologwe stressed the importance of sustainable financing models to bolster health systems across the region. This investment, according to the ECSA-HC, is crucial for ensuring quality and equitable healthcare services are accessible to all citizens. The call to action was made during a recent event in ARUSHA. Strengthening health systems is seen as a key step towards improving public health outcomes throughout East, Central, and Southern Africa.
