A new podcast series, “From Our Correspondent,” features Dutch journalist Daisy Mohr, who has lived in Beirut, Lebanon since 2002. Mohr initially went to Beirut to study Arabic and subsequently began working for the Dutch newspaper *Het Parool*. Over the past two decades, she has reported on major events in the Middle East, including the Iraq War and ongoing conflicts with Israel, often operating in unstable and dangerous regions. Since 2019, she has served as the Middle East correspondent for the NOS, the Dutch public broadcaster, frequently working with her camerawoman, Edmee van Rijn. Mohr notes that being a female reporting team often provides unique access to stories. She enjoys the logistical challenges of the job, including obtaining visas, viewing it as an extension of her personal interests. The podcast concludes this series with Mohr’s story, with future episodes planned featuring other NOS correspondents.
