A large fire erupted overnight in an industrial building in Den Hoorn, South Holland, causing significant damage. A portion of the building has been completely destroyed, and authorities believe it is unlikely to be saved. The fire began around 2:00 AM in a facility that develops mechanical ski slopes, prompting a large response from the fire department, including six fire engines and two aerial platforms. Firefighters from across the region are working to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to neighboring structures, with initial efforts appearing successful. Fortunately, no one was inside the building when the fire started. The A4 highway has been closed in both directions due to heavy smoke, which is reportedly drifting towards the Westland region. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation.
