Daniek Hengeveld, 23, achieved a surprising first-place victory in the Dutch national time trial championships. Competing for Visma - Lease a Bike, Hengeveld completed the 36-kilometer course near Laren, Gelderland, in 45 minutes and 12 seconds. She narrowly defeated her teammate, Femke de Vries, who finished just two seconds behind. The race took place in exceptionally hot weather conditions. This marks Hengeveld’s first national title in the time trial discipline. Huub Arz won the men’s competition, though details of his performance were not included in this report.
