Passion Jewellers in Dubai has unveiled a life-sized replica of the FIFA World Cup trophy made from LEGO. Created by Indian jeweler Hemant Karamchandani, the piece is adorned with 900 diamonds and 18-karat gold, valued at approximately $82,000. The idea was inspired by Karamchandani's 10-year-old son, Yash, who spent three days building the LEGO structure before the jeweler spent 35 days adding the precious gems. The project commemorates the upcoming World Cup. For comparison, the original trophy is also made of 18-karat gold and is insured for $20 million. The authentic trophy, created by Silvio Gazzaniga in 1974, is kept at the FIFA museum in Switzerland. It is only brought out for the tournament final, after which winners receive a replica.
