Customs officials at the ICD Komlapur division of the Dhaka Customs House have confiscated a shipment of 1,980 drones falsely declared as remote control toys. The drones were imported under bill of entry number 12367, dated September 27, 2026, by Mime Collection, located in Dhaka’s Chakbazar. Authorities estimate the market value of the seized drones to be approximately 1 crore takas (approximately USD 93,000). The National Board of Revenue (NBR) reported the seizure was based on credible intelligence. This operation highlights ongoing efforts to prevent the illegal import of restricted items into Bangladesh. Further investigation is underway regarding the import and intended use of the drones. The NBR has confirmed that they are pursuing the case diligently to address violations of import regulations.
