Police stopped a driver on the E16 highway Friday night after a pursuit involving dangerous driving. The driver, a man in his 30s, attempted to evade a traffic stop and allegedly tried to ram a police vehicle. He also nearly caused a head-on collision with another car during the chase. Officers deployed a spike strip to disable the vehicle and bring the pursuit to an end. Authorities suspect the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol and was operating the vehicle without a valid license.
