USR President Dominic Fritz has announced his intention to challenge a definitive ruling by the High Court of Cassation and Justice (ÎCCJ). The court upheld a report from the National Integrity Agency (ANI) regarding an administrative conflict of interest. As a result of this decision, Fritz is prohibited from running for office until 2030. The Timișoara mayor intends to take the case to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) to contest the ban. This legal battle follows the final determination that a conflict of interest occurred during his administration. Fritz is seeking international judicial review to overturn the domestic court's decision. The outcome remains critical for his future political career and leadership within the USR party.
