New research indicates that the relationship between owner and dog sleep is mutual. The study reveals that dogs can be affected by their owner’s sleep just as much as owners are affected by their dogs. This challenges the common assumption that dogs primarily disrupt human sleep. Researchers found a two-way street in sleep patterns, suggesting a complex interplay between pets and their owners during the night. The findings emphasize the interconnectedness of sleep quality within a household, particularly in households with dogs in Croatia. This study provides insights into the shared sleep environment experienced by people and their canine companions in Croatia.
