A Finnish public broadcaster, Yle, has postponed the release of its documentary series, “Dangerous Play,” for a second time. The series follows Sonja Sirviö, a Finnish diplomat trainee, and Frank Wanyama, a Kenyan man she met through Tinder. The delay stems from concerns raised by Sirviö and Wanyama that the documentary’s broadcast could violate a Kenyan court’s gag order. Wanyama is currently facing accusations of aggravated assault, specifically related to a gang rape case. The pair feared the documentary’s content might prejudice ongoing legal proceedings. Originally slated for release on May 18th, the publication was first delayed in 2024, and again recently at the request of the subjects. Yle ultimately acceded to their request to avoid potential legal repercussions.
