Romania’s national railway company, CFR Călători, has initiated its “Sun Trains” program for the summer of 2026. The program provides direct rail connections between Black Sea resorts and major regions across the country. Services began operating on Friday and will continue until the beginning of September. This initiative aims to facilitate travel to the Romanian coastline during the peak tourist season. The “Sun Trains” offer a convenient transportation option for both domestic and international tourists. CFR Călători anticipates increased passenger traffic to the coastal areas as a result of the program. The service intends to boost tourism and accessibility to the Black Sea region.
