Ugandan police, in collaboration with the Intelligent Transport Monitoring System (ITMS), have reported a vehicle recovery rate exceeding 90 percent. Out of 37 reported stolen vehicles, 34 have been successfully recovered. Authorities attribute this high success rate to the implementation of ITMS, a system utilizing digital number plates and advanced tracking technology. Police spokesperson ACP Rusoke Kituuma highlighted the increasing effectiveness of the ITMS platform. The system integrates digital number plates with tracking and monitoring capabilities, aiding in swift vehicle recovery.
