A torchlight procession and protest rally were held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, in solidarity with student and public demonstrators in New Delhi, India. The protest, organized by Bangladesh Chhatra Union, Bangladesh Jubo Union, and Socialist Student Front, condemned the alleged attack and mass arrests at Jantar-Mantar in New Delhi. The procession began around 7:00 PM on Saturday, October 10th, from Purana Paltan. Participants marched towards the Press Club and then returned to Purana Paltan. Khan Asaduzzaman, President of Bangladesh Jubo Union, presided over the protest rally. The demonstration highlighted support for the ongoing movement in India and expressed concern over the actions taken against protestors.
