Dhaka, Bangladesh’s capital, has been ranked as the 10th most polluted city in the world, according to data from IQAir, an international air quality technology company. The ranking is based on the Air Quality Index (AQI) recorded between 8:00 AM and 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 3rd. Dhaka recorded an AQI score of 106. This places the city within the list of the top ten cities experiencing the worst air quality globally. The data utilized the US Air Quality Index standard for measurement. Further details regarding the most polluted city and overall air quality conditions are expected to be released with a more comprehensive report. The findings highlight ongoing concerns about air pollution levels in the region.
