The government institution committee of the thirteenth National Parliament has recommended strict action to halt unauthorized commercial activities and construction deviating from approved designs in Dhaka. The recommendation came during the committee’s fourth meeting held on Thursday, October 8th, in the Cabinet Room of the National Parliament building. Led by Committee President and National Parliament Chief Whip Nurul Islam Monir, the meeting focused on irregularities in Dhaka's development. Concerns were raised regarding buildings constructed not in accordance with approved plans, specifically in residential areas. The committee seeks to enforce regulations on non-approved commercial operations within Dhaka’s residential zones. This push aims to improve urban planning and address unauthorized construction impacting Dhaka’s infrastructure.
