The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) has announced a formal scientific investigation into the sudden rise of the seabed in Sarangani. This geological phenomenon occurred following a significant earthquake in the Mindanao region. To conduct the study, the DENR will establish a specialized composite team. This team will include experts from the Mines and Geosciences Bureau XII. Local government units will also be integrated into the collaborative effort. The primary goal is to analyze the extent and cause of the coastal uplift. This coordinated response aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the area's new topographical changes.
