Romania’s Cernavodă nuclear power plant faces potential shutdowns as the Danube River level continues to fall rapidly. According to Sorin Rîndaşu, Deputy General Director of the National Administration "Romanian Waters," the water level is decreasing by 2-3 centimeters daily. Current conditions allow the plant to operate at its limit for only four to five more days. The declining river levels are impacting the plant's cooling systems, essential for safe operation.
