A Czech soldier has been released from preventative quarantine after returning from a Democratic Republic of Congo observation mission. The soldier returned on May 22nd from an area experiencing an Ebola outbreak. The army confirmed the soldier did not have any known contact with Ebola cases during his deployment. He also exhibited no symptoms of the disease during the quarantine period. The release was announced Friday via the army’s official X (formerly Twitter) account. Authorities initiated the quarantine as a precautionary measure, standard procedure for personnel returning from regions with active Ebola outbreaks. The soldier is now cleared and available for duty.
