A group of Czech senators has appealed to the Constitutional Court to review the law regulating fuel prices, questioning its constitutionality. Representative Petr Sokol (ODS), speaking on the *Událostech, komentářích* program, stated the core issue isn't the regulation's effectiveness, but whether it was enacted in accordance with constitutional law. Representative Libor Vondráček (Svobodní, SPD) confirmed he has never supported price caps, neither during previous nor the current government. He acknowledged the need to address high fuel prices, welcoming the reduction of excise duty to the EU minimum. However, Vondráček expressed reservations regarding price ceilings. The debate was moderated by Lukáš Dolanský. The senators seek a ruling on the legality of the fuel price controls implemented in the Czech Republic.
