The Czech Republic has initiated a new phase of its “New Green Savings” (Nová zelená úsporám) program, designed to incentivize energy-efficient building renovations. This iteration introduces two primary funding mechanisms: interest-free loans and direct grants. Homeowners, housing cooperatives, and condominium associations are eligible for the interest-free loan option. Additionally, low-income households residing in apartment buildings can receive a bonus of up to 120,000 CZK on top of the loan. Low-income homeowners are specifically eligible for direct grants through the program. The initiative aims to promote more ecological and economical heating systems within buildings across the country.
