The annual festival of records and curiosities, traditionally held in Pelhřimov, Czech Republic, will become a traveling event. For years, the festival was organized by the agency Dobrý den, based in Pelhřimov, and was a key part of the city’s identity. However, the festival has lost support, prompting organizers to change its format. Agency head Miroslav Marek announced last year, during the festival’s 35th anniversary coinciding with Pelhřimov’s 800th anniversary celebration, that the festival would no longer continue in its established form. The decision marks a significant shift for the event and the city that hosted it for decades. The future locations of the traveling festival have not yet been announced.
