Czech pensioners will see an increase in their pensions and receive a one-time bonus at the start of the new year. The Czech government has agreed to raise pensions by 304 Czech korunas and provide a 2,000 Czech korunas bonus payment. Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Aleš Juchelka stated the increase is designed to prevent pensioners from falling into the social welfare system. In an interview with iDNES.cz, Juchelka detailed further changes being considered by the ministry. He also emphasized the importance of families taking primary responsibility for the care of the elderly generation, rather than solely relying on the state. The measures aim to improve the financial wellbeing of pensioners in the Czech Republic.
