The Czech Republic and Italy are strengthening their defense collaboration, particularly in the area of munitions. Italian Defense Minister Guido Crosetto announced Italy’s intention to increase cooperation regarding munitions supplies from the Czech Republic. Italian firm Fiocchi, now part of the CSG holding, is already supplying new products to the Italian army, including specialized anti-drone ammunition. This ammunition utilizes tungsten pellets to neutralize drones at distances up to 200 meters and is currently undergoing testing near Rome. Beyond Italy, there is growing international interest in Czech defense products; Germany plans to purchase 200,000 pistols from Česká zbrojovka, with initial deliveries expected this year. This increased demand highlights the Czech Republic’s growing role as a key supplier in the European defense sector.
