Czech healthcare spending is set to rise substantially next year, with 607 billion Czech crowns allocated from public health insurance for patient care – a 36 billion crown increase from the current year. This represents more than a doubling of funding over the past nine years. Health Minister Adam Vojtěch aims to balance income and expenditure within the healthcare system through a new decree governing reimbursement rates. The ministry has begun work on this so-called “reimbursement decree,” which will detail how funds are distributed. The increased funding is intended to address growing demands and costs within the Czech healthcare system. Vojtěch’s goal is to achieve financial equilibrium in the upcoming year’s budget.
